SELECT Entertainment Group was founded by brothers Shawn and Michael Cavallo in 2012. The brothers, known for their musical talents in the edgy pop duo, Manic Drive, decided to provide new platforms for relevant CCM (Contemporary Christians Music), and go against the grain of the traditional industry standards.
While observing the current climate of the Christian music industry, these brothers weren’t looking for a safe bet, but they recognized a real need for current music in a decaying landscape where CCM was over-saturated with the same message and sounds.
SELECT Entertainment Group is a response to the need of new, edgy, relevant, Christian music that can reach beyond the stigma of the current “Christian” sound. The goal is to go beyond where “CCM” is permitted to go, in hopes to make a difference in real lives.
Birthing from a simple concept, the Cavallo brother’s created an imprint Label, Management, and Booking Agency that is now nationally recognized on Billboard charting hits, Juno Award winning albums, and national tours. Since 2017, SELECT has organised Christian tours, working along side national artist such as Kutless, Disciple, Sanctus Real, Colton Dixon, Ryan Stevenson, Shonlock, V.Rose and many other.
So let’s sum it up. The goal of SELECT is to organize and cultivate relevant and new Christian Contemporary Music and bring it to new platforms outside of our comfort zones. We believe that we’ve been selected to this call.
